This 22 year old singer/songwriter makes his debut with this well produced easy-affective EP, sung by a lyrical voice with a certain emotional vibrato at the right moments. He is accompanied by guitar, cello, piano, bass and drums. The songs have a solid and strong structural evolution, and are truly honest expressions. Very sweet is a small duet with Kate Bannatyne on "100 Lines". Very nice !

When Chris Lockington was looking for a female vocalist and found Kate Bannatyne to work with him on his debut EP, this was the beginning of a songwriter partnership. It leaves no doubts, that Kate has a strong lead voice with strong 'soul'ful capacities. The guitar playing is slightly jazzy. There’s also Laurie Waller on drums, Michael Whittear on sax and Steve Mann on bass and for the production. A very short album with rather short tracks. Promising and highly enjoyable.
