Joanne Robertson : The Lighter (UK,2007)***°
Not having the lyrics, and with no extra info available, and while this is not a promo, I won’t do too much effort this time in trying to describe the range of the content of the music. I do very much like the emotionality and rich colour of the attractive voice and way of singing and some of the interesting pickings accompanying it. When more poor and direct in intention the still convincing more strummed guitar has a beautiful natural echo confirming the attraction in the general sound and inspiration. I’m not very sure what all the songs are about, I can only confirm a strong attraction to the stylistic approach.
