Julie Doiron : Will you still love me ? EP (CAN,2002)***°'
I really wanted to try at least one mini-album by Julie Doiron from whom I have read such positive reactions. This album was given an award, so this could be a good start. And I don’t regret it. We hear calm, gentle vocal expressions, with recognisable love emotions, laced with a regret of departure, accompanied by amplified acoustic guitar. It’s a slice out of someone’s personal emotional life, simple and pure and perhaps slightly sad, as it is. Recommended.
