The Twelve Canons : volume one / volume two (UK,2004,2005)**°°
With some booze as partial influence on their music, with just a few aggressive touches just now and then (for social musical enjoyment), Twelfth Canons are actually very gentle men, with passion, a bit of humour (the "hmm hmm.." on “Saint Anselm” of the public I liked very much), an acoustic indie band with moody accompaniment of basically banjo, cello or violin and percussion (I saw also sitar on a live picture) and a bit of guitar, ..and voice of course for singing the songs. Most songs on the album are arranged in a comparable way, but the last few tracks recorded and published on volume two, stand out more, and for me are from a higher level. They used more acoustic guitar there, combined with violin arpeggios, vocal arrangements and much more. These moody arranged songs were also recorded with a better quality and contrast. Promising.
